Lent

I know Lent is half over, but since I never got around to posting about it before I thought I would do it now.
I was lucky enough to be subbing at the Catholic school on Ash Wednesday so I didn't have to try to squeeze church in somewhere between subbing and Sylvan (which would not have happened if I were subbing in a public school that day, there would have been no time). So my day started with mass and then I spent the day teaching the 4th graders. I also spent the day thinking about what to give up for Lent. I decided to give up soda ( I have done chocolate in the past and that was just too hard. I know that is the point, but why torture myself) I have been doing well with not drinking soda-it is harder when we go out to eat then it is at home-since we have no soda in the house. On the positive side, it is forcing me to drink a little more water. (I am still about a glass or 2 a day with that on though)
So, with about 24 more days to go until Easter, I am confident that I can keep my promise to give up soda for Lent.
